Driving Dapper for Men’s Health; The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive Breaks Records On September 25th.

ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH, 2022

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive (DGD) returned after its successful inaugural year to continue raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health. In its first year in 2021, the stylish charity motoring event united thousands of classic drivers to raise over $200K USD for its charity partner, Movember.

This year, the global driving event has raised just over US$300K and has spread to 55 countries around the world. 5,500 classic car drivers rallied to join in the 150 events around the world to drive together on the same day, all in the name of men’s health and Movember; who are the world’s leading global organization focussed solely on men’s health. The funds raised through The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive will be directed toward prostate cancer and men’s mental health research and programs.

Mark Hawwa, Founder and Director of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive, reflects after his day on the road as the classic motoring world drives for men’s health. “Just two years in, and The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive is doing exactly what we envisaged – it is connecting vintage motoring enthusiasts to their health. The impact we have had in this year’s campaign is a testament to that. We have fundraised over $300K USD for our charity partner, Movember, in 55 countries around the world to raise funds and awareness for men’s health globally. We are continuing our focus into 2023, with the drive date set for Sunday September 24th, and we welcome anyone who would like to get in early to host a drive for their club or their city to get connected and join our growing community of distinguished gentlefolk who want to use their cars as vehicles for change.”

Every drive around the world features a unique selection of cars and people, and encourages folks to get out on the open road and celebrate the life and connection that is made through these machines.

The event is for cars built before January 1980 and will encourage its drivers to carry on the dapper style and gentlemanly conduct that perfectly complements classic and collectors cars by raising funds and awareness for men’s health on behalf of charity partner Movember.
